If I see you as my friend I’m not rushing to change out of my pajamas when you come over, I let you see me as me.  If you’re my friend you’re more willing to accept me as I am because there is no pretense, no need to try to impress, just a need to get to know you, to be able to converse with you, to reveal my true self.  Sometimes we allow emotions to get in the way and so we lose that honesty of self.  We put on a pretense, so others can be impressed, can want to be closer to us, want to share our air.  I purpose today to be me, just me, all of me, the true me.  I purpose to show the world who I really am.  If you can accept me then great.  I hope you can grow from me and I can grow from you.  If you can’t accept me as I am, then great.  Your world won’t’ be interrupted by me and my world won’t be influenced by you.

Loving myself is owning the true me, regardless of who joins me or not.

  1. Sandra,
I only know how to be me. If I have to do something or be someone I am not comfortable being, I prefer to just not be a part of it. I happen to like the person I’ve developing into. Tune in next time, there’s more to come.
